"PAL to SECAM Conversion"
WHAT IS IT?
PAL is the European Colour TV standard, also used in many other
countries. PAL uses different colour encoding but unlike NTSC it uses the
same frame rate (50 frames per second) as SECAM. To view or record PAL
video in colour it is thus only necessary to convert the colour encoding
from PAL to SECAM. If you do not wish to use VCR sources conversion is simple.
Colour conversion as offered by the Original ACE
is then sufficient. (Please note that both ACEs work with Chipped DVDs.)
VCR sources are not as stable and in this case our
Full World Standards Convertor should be used.
WHERE DOES THE "ACE" FIT IN?
The ACE fits quite simply between your Broadcast Receiver, Laserdisc or
DVD player and your SECAM video display and automatically handles conversion
of PAL to SECAM when required, enabling the discs to be viewed properly
in full colour. SECAM discs will still play correctly. All the ACE controls
act as normal and allow you to control the picture in the usual way. Simple
isn't it!
NOTE:
The sophisticated technology used in the Original ACE
gives excellent quality conversion on stable sources such as analogue or
digital broadcast, Laserdisc, DVD or Digital Camcorders with performance and
facilities far beyond that offered by analogue converters. For VCR sources our
Full World Standards Convertor should be used.
This is the most flexible unit available on the market with full colour correction
at Only £299.95 in the UK!
